About the EPSCoR/IDeA Coalition
The EPSCoR/IDeA Coalition is a DC-based advocacy organization representing researchers, universities, and policymakers in 28 states and territories committed to expanding federal investment in science and innovation.
What Does the EPSCoR/IDeA Coalition do?
Mission: Est. in 1988, the Coalition advocates for increased funding each year by working with the Committees of jurisdiction and the Members/staff of those committees
Activities
- February/March Annual Conference
- Generate talking points, draft report language, letters to House/Senate appropriations Chairs and Ranking Members, complete required appropriations forms
- Submit questions/testimony for budget hearings
- Ongoing education of Members/staff
- Coordinate with the Coalition Board of Directors to develop and support these initiatives
