NSF awards $39.9 million to strengthen research capacity across 16 EPSCoR jurisdictions
The U.S. National Science Foundation has awarded $39.9 million through the NSF EPSCoR Research Infrastructure Improvement Program: Focused EPSCoR Collaborations to support eight four-year research projects spanning 16 EPSCoR jurisdictions.
The awards are designed to strengthen research capacity, infrastructure and long-term partnerships by bringing together investigators from multiple jurisdictions to address shared scientific and engineering challenges.
Funded projects will support research in areas including artificial intelligence, biotechnology, agriculture, critical mineral recovery, coastal resilience, environmental monitoring, semiconductors, snow science and quantum materials, while also expanding workforce development and interjurisdictional collaboration.
