DOE EPSCoR
DOE EPSCoR is designed to enhance research capacity and competitiveness in states that historically receive a smaller share of Department of Energy (DOE) research funding. The program strengthens partnerships between universities and DOE national laboratories while advancing research aligned with DOE’s mission.
Purpose
DOE EPSCoR aims to:
- Increase competitiveness for DOE research funding
- Strengthen research infrastructure in EPSCoR states
- Build partnerships with DOE national laboratories
- Expand the energy and STEM workforce
- Support regional innovation tied to energy, science, and national security priorities
Eligibility
Eligibility generally aligns with NSF EPSCoR jurisdictions—states and territories that receive a relatively small share of federal R&D funding.
