NASA EPSCoR

NASA

NASA EPSCoR is designed to build research capacity and strengthen partnerships between NASA and states that historically receive a smaller share of federal research funding. The program supports research aligned with NASA’s mission while expanding geographic participation in the nation’s space and aeronautics enterprise.

Purpose

NASA EPSCoR aims to:

  • Increase competitiveness for NASA research funding
  • Strengthen research infrastructure and capabilities in EPSCoR states
  • Build partnerships with NASA centers and missions
  • Expand the STEM workforce in aerospace and related fields
  • Support state-level innovation ecosystems tied to NASA priorities

Eligibility

  • Eligibility generally aligns with NSF EPSCoR jurisdictions (states and territories that receive a relatively small share of federal R&D funding).
  • Each participating state has a designated NASA EPSCoR office that coordinates proposals and partnerships.
